Online Registration

If you have just purchased a dog and have official Continental Kennel Club preprinted applications, you can register your dog online right now! This service is faster than the standard method of mailing in your application. Your registration will be sent to our office immediately, skipping the mail time to our office and your time and cost preparing and mailing the application. Continental Kennel Club (CKC) is the only kennel club that offers free pre-printed puppy papers to its club members. When you take into account the high cost of litter Registration fees with other clubs, no other kennel club can claim lower overall Registration fees for the dog owner than Continental Kennel Club. CKC breeders need only register their breeding stock, and puppy papers are distributed to them for each litter free of charge. To receive puppy papers, the CKC breeder must complete a CKC Puppy Application Form. CKC breeders may order these forms by calling our toll-free number (1-800-952-3376) and requesting them from an operator.

If both parents of your puppies are registered with Continental Kennel Club, the Puppy Application Form  can be completed over the phone by speaking to a live operator at CKC between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm Central Time, or you may enter the information online here:  Click here to see the online form.

Canine Registration Applications are used to apply for Registration in the following circumstances:

1.Dogs which are currently registered with another recognized kennel club may be registered by completing the CKC Canine Registration Application, making a copy of the other kennel club’s Registration papers, and sending them to Continental Kennel Club’s Registration office with the proper Registration fee, or

2.Dogs over 6 months of age which have no previous Registration history may be registered by providing 2 witness signatures attesting to the purebred status of the dog along with 3 photos (front,left and right) of the dog to confirm it is ‘of proper breed type’ as defined by our current CKC Registration Rules and Regulations.Canine Registration Applications are available in PDF format from our web site. (click here to download it now)

The kennel registration application can be completed if you have ten or more dogs to be registered with CKC at one time. Please remember to include CKC numbers of the dam and sire, copies of a recognized club's papers, or three photographs along with witness signatures for each dog being registered. When registering ten or more dogs at one time in the same person's name you will only pay a standard registration fee of $5.00 per dog.Kennel Registration Applications are available in PDF format from our web site. (click here to download it now)

You must complete a Registration Application and return it to the Continental Kennel Club Registration office along with the Registration fee to have your dog certified and entered into the registry. The Standard Registration fee for a single dog is currently $12.00 per dog. The $12.00 fee ensures unique Registration in CKC’s canine database and identifies the owner as a CKC club member. After Registration, your dog will be eligible to participate in CKC Performance Events and accumulate points toward championship titles in the various CKC Performance Competitions sponsored. An official CKC Registration certificate, bearing the Continental Kennel Club official seal, will be mailed to you upon the completion of the Registration of your dog.

For those who want a more personal touch on their Registration papers, we have the Picture Registration service. If you choose this service, your dog will be registered in the same manner as described for the Standard Registration. In addition, your dog’s picture will be included on the Registration certificate.Your certificate will also be accompanied by a wallet-sized laminated Photo ID Card for quick identification of your dog at CKC Performance Events. Since many animal shelters require proof of ownership before an owner can claim his lost dog, the Photo ID Card serves as an excellent tool to provide proof of ownership should you find yourself and your canine friend in a jam.You must supply a good quality photo for this service.

Continental Kennel Club issues certified pedigrees for 3 or 4 generations of ancestry on most CKC registered dogs. A pedigree may be ordered at the time of Registration of your dog or at a later date.  Pedigrees may be updated with ancestral information from other registry organizations within a year of purchase of a CKC pedigree for your dog, at no additional cost.  Background Information Form

Continental Kennel Club issues certified pedigrees for 5 generation of ancestry on  some CKC registered dogs.  A pedigree may be ordered at the time of Registration of your dog or at a later date.  Pedigrees may be updated with ancestral information from other registry organizations within a year of purchase of a CKC pedigree for your dog, at no additional cost. Make that pedigree extra special by including your dog’s picture on his pedigree.  This unique service is available for 3 or 4 generation CKC certified pedigrees.  A photo pedigree with your dog’s photo on the pedigree may be ordered for a $25.00 fee.  You must supply a good quality photo for this service.

Quick Reference Sheets are automatically sent out when a breeder initially registers with CKC. The QRS is a listing of all of the dogs owned by a CKC breeder, all on one report!  It is extremely helpful in quickly identifying breeding stock CKC numbers when completing puppy application forms.  An updated QRS may be ordered at any time for a nominal fee of $5.00.

Keep up with your puppies and new owners with this new report from CKC.  This report gives kennel owners or breeders a complete listing of the puppies sold and registered along with the new owners' names and addresses. 

Microchip Kits may be purchased along with the Registration of your dog for an additional fee of $30.00. Microchipping your dog today can quickly re-unite you and your dog if your dog is lost or stolen. If you purchase the microchip service you will receive a universal Avid microchip with a unique number to insert into your dog. You will also receive a lifetime enrollment into PETtrac’s 24-hour Global Recovery system. To activate your lifetime service, you will need to complete the enrollment form and mail it to PETtrac. If your dog already has a microchip through another company, for an additional $15.00, you can purchase an enrollment into the PETtrac 24-hour Global Recovery system. Your dog’s microchip number will be entered into the Continental Kennel Club database permanently. You will also receive a lifetime enrollment into PETtrac’s 24-hour Global Recovery system.
