Continental Kennel Club held its second annual Breeders Seminar at their new facility in Livingston, Louisiana on April 25 - 27. There was a great turnout with breeders from across the United States gathered to attend. The two and a half day seminar covered information on multiple topics such as puppy socialization, signs of stress during whelp, kennel maintenance, vaccination protocols, reproduction, contracts, nutrition, puppy training, and much more. The topics were presented by speakers with a range of experience. Two of the speakers were from the Louisiana State University’s Veterinarian of Small Animal Department. We also had a Veterinarian from Mississippi State University along with two experienced trainers. The breeders' feedback was very positive, and the information was well received by both novice and advanced breeders alike. CKC is looking forward to having more seminars in the future to help the growing needs of breeders.
