CKC Christmas Float Wins Top Prize, Denham Springs, LA

CKC employees volunteered their time to design and decorate a float to participate in the annual Denham Springs Christmas parade held on Saturday, December 8 in downtown Denham Springs, LA. It was the first float ever for CKC and it turned out to be a huge success from concept to completion. The float’s theme was “Santa Paws & His Reindogs”, which consisted of a hand built wooden doghouse – sleigh and paper mache’ dogs posing as Santa and his reindeer.

Our team was on the job bringing all types of goodies to the parade-going boys and girls. With Rudolph the Cock-A-Poo leading the way with his nose so bright, the team of reindogs flew above the festive trees bedecked with dog bones for all to see. CKC’s new mascot, a Giant Schnauzer named Baxter, waved to everyone along the parade route in his debut appearance.

Imagine our surprise when we were presented with the first place trophy for best parade float. Cheers came from all the volunteers knowing that all of our hard work had paid off. Phone calls were placed and texts were sent to everyone not able to attend the event. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of an awesome CKC tradition.
