We offer many events on our Upcoming Events Calendar webpage.

Trucks, tractors and dogs were the attraction at the 5th annual Smokin’ Iron Pull in Ottertail, MN. People came out to enjoy the pulling exhibitions by machine and canine on Friday. Several individuals participated and received training demonstrations on pulling and retriever work by the CKC representatives. One of the tractor pullers brought a French Bulldog and asked for advice in basic obedience. Our representatives were more than willing to take the time to work with her and demonstrate some beginner basic obedience skills. Before the tractor pull began that evening, spectators of all ages came out to watch two American Pit Bull Terriers do a weight pulling demonstration with the weight reaching over 2,000 pounds.

Saturday was a much better day for spectators and participants, as the sun was shining and the temperature was pleasant enough to draw a much larger crowd. Several spectators even brought their dogs around on Saturday to give weight pulling a try prior to the actual demonstration. After lunch on Saturday, several people came by to receive samples of Nutri Source dog food and other items provided by Lakes Country Kennel Club and CKC.

As always we appreciate being invited to participate in this annual event. It was another great year for the Smokin’ Iron Tractor Pull which is growing bigger and better every year. Also, we send out a special thanks to the Country Store and Nutri Source for their sponsorship.
