Georgia Dog Gym and Continental Kennel Club held its first sanctioned event with the Georgia Dog Gym in Rome, GA. The weather turned out wonderful for a beautiful fall weekend. The event was a great success having many dogs to enter and compete for the first time in CKC’s sanctioned events. The morning started early with the Obedience competition. Many dogs successfully completed one or more levels of the Novice obedience. A special congrats goes to Ascii who completed two levels of the Novice Obedience and Cooper who successfully completed all three levels of the Novice Obedience competition. Keep up the good work! Later that morning the Intermediate Obedience trials took place with Riff and Buffy successfully completing this level of Obedience as well. The agility trials led the afternoon events, and we had successful completions in both novice and intermediate levels. A great job was done by Jet in novice level 1, and congratulations go out to Riff who completed all three levels of the Novice Agility. Sunday morning was cool and crisp with a Tracking Workshop followed by a tracking demonstration. Participants came out with their canine companions to take advantage of this of this training opportunity. We would like to thank everyone who came out and participated in helping make this event a great success.
