We had a wonderful day in Vancleave, MS on Saturday, February 5th. Mississippi Gulf Coast Weight Pulling Association and Continental Kennel Club hosted a Sanctioned Weight Pull and Conformation Fun Show at The Jackson County All Purpose Arena and we had a great turnout. We had several different breeds come out for the conformation show, lots of big dogs came out for the Weight Pull, but one that stood out from the crowd was a 7 year old English Mastiff by the name of Cannibal. This was Cannibal's first pull and was a natural. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Cannibal proved them all wrong! But Cannibal wasn't strong enough to compete with the pros that came out. Congratulations to the winners, Candyman for first place in the upper class male and most weight pulled, and Doc Holiday for first place in the lower class male, and also congratulations to all the participants. It was a great show. Thank you to everyone who came out to support this wonderful thing we are doing for the dogs, and also to all our sponsors who provided the prize packs.
