Sept. 29th-Oct. 3rd- Continental Kennel Club
Canine Fall Classic

The Continental Kennel Club, South Mississippi Weight Pulling Association, Peach State Performance Dogs, Bayou Bullies Weight Pulling Association and Louisiana Canine Team Builders Association along with Profile Nutrition and Farm Depot were pleased to host the CKC Canine Fall Classic, our four day event/training session in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. People from all walks of life with every breed streamed in to watch, learn and participate in all the fun. Free training seminars were held on September 29th and 30th for the public thanks in part to the training staff of South Mississippi Weight Pulling Association and Peach State Performance Dogs who donated their time and talents to helping several newcomers learn the disciplines of Weight Pulling, Obedience, Agility, Conformation Showing and Tracking & Article Search. This event would not have been possible without them. (Don’t forget to check out each clubs next upcoming events!) There were over a hundred dogs in attendance over the duration of the week and hundreds of spectators. The events drew in crowds from neighboring events and proved to be the highlight of the evenings. Several dogs got their first titles towards Obedience, Agility and a few even got their second titles and are moving on up towards their CKC Champion. The Weight Pulling was a sight for many new comers, with the weight reaching well over 3000 pounds. CKC Championed 2 more dogs “Kimberly’s Ace of Raising Storm” owned, bred and trained by Kimberly Sullivan of Sullivan’s Hard Core Kennels and "Mixon’s Pulling Piggy", owned, bred and trained by Reggie Mixon of L&M Kennels, and as usual, there were several new titles in the Weight Pulling earned. CKC would like to thank all who attended and participated.

Oct. 9th, 2004- Ruston, Louisiana

Continental Kennel Club hosted a Fun Day in Ruston, Louisiana at the O’Neal Farm and Garden Store with several representatives from CKC affiliated clubs including South Mississippi Weight Pulling Association, Bayou Bullies Weight Pulling Association, Louisiana Canine Team Builders Association, Ozark Weight Pulling Association and Texas Outlaw Working Dog Association. The Fun Day included free weight pull training and a weight pulling demonstration by new weight pulling champion “Kimberly’s Ace of Raising Storm”, owned, bred and trained by Kimberly Sullivan of Sullivan’s Hard Core Kennels. There was a crowd of about 40 people there and several dogs new to the sport that did a great job of making their owners extremely proud. CKC would like to thank all who attended and made the event a success despite the rainy weather. We look forward to hosting another event in that area and getting a club started.
