CKC NEWS

As we near the end of 2004 and make preparations for 2005, Continental Kennel Club is looking forward to an exciting year in the dog world! Since our inception in 1991, CKC has grown into one of the largest kennel clubs in the world. Along with our growth and increasing workforce, CKC has always maintained a close-knit, family-like workplace. We commend all of the faithful CKC employees who have been loyal throughout the years and worked diligently to make CKC the best all around kennel club.

In addition, we have had the help of some great dog people out in the field that have worked with CKC staff to develop rules for various events and trials sanctioned by CKC. Our hats go off to these people who have donated their time to help us establish fair rules for our CKC events so that everyone can have fun and achieve something with his or her dog. I’m proud to say that we’ve got a dedicated team of people all pulling together to make CKC events the best thing around in the dog world.

We’ve got a lot of new things in the making this fall and continuing into 2005. For starters, we have reorganized our Events Department to be more responsive to what our club members have asked for. To accommodate all of the requests for new events, we’ve recruited several Regional Field Coordinators to assist our affiliate clubs, train judges, and organize new CKC affiliate clubs. These guys are dog-lovers through-and-through, team players, and share our vision for CKC events that are both competitive and fun. Their combined years of experience are a tremendous asset to Continental Kennel Club, and we are happy to have them working with our organization.

In 2005 we will begin publishing a quarterly full color magazine featuring breed articles, training articles, healthcare articles, and many other topics of interest to CKC club members. We will continue to publish our newsletter as an information source for our latest CKC events and affiliate clubs. We will also keep you posted with our latest news and events on our News Section of our website at www.ckcusa.com.

Continental Kennel Club will also be hosting a number of CKC Fun Days throughout the year. CKC Fun Days serve as a perfect platform to bring together dog enthusiasts at local farm and coop stores for the purpose of meeting other dog people and learning about CKC events. These ‘dog days’ give us the opportunity to meet dog owners who may be interested in starting a CKC Affiliate Club in your area.

Continental Kennel Club is looking forward to a great year of fun and sport with our dogs. We hope to see many of you out there pursuing titles in Obedience, Agility, Tracking, Weight Pulling, Hunting Field Trials, and much more. If you are interested in participating in CKC events, call our events department at 1-888-252-8042 and get the latest information on CKC Affiliate clubs and events.

Sincerely,

Michael Roy – President
Continental Kennel Club, Inc.
