Siberian Husky Information

BREED GROUP:  Spitz, Nordic, Primitive, Pariah, and Feral Breeds

WEIGHT:  35-60 lbs. in proportion to height.

HEIGHT:  20-24 in.

COLOR(S):  All colors ranging from solid white to solid black are permissible. Black, grey, wolf, liver, various shades of red sable, agouti, chinchilla, are also common. All with or without white points and markings.

COAT:  Medium length double coat with straight, somewhat close lying outer coat. Dense, soft undercoat supports outer coat. Never long, rough, silky, or standing off from body.

APPEARANCE:  Head: Medium-sized, wedge shaped. Eyes: Dark or blue (or one of each color), almond shaped. Ears: Medium sized and erect, set high on head. Muzzle: Medium and tapering to a point. Nose: Black and self-colored according to coat. Bite: Scissor or level. Neck: Arched, medium in length. Topline: Level. Chest: Deep and strong but not too broad. Body: Medium-sized, compact. Legs: Moderate angulation of forefeet and hind quarters. Feet: Oval, but not too long. Tail: Long. Movement: Strong and driving, yet very agile. Temperament: Protective and aloof with strangers.
