I have been raising Mini Dachshunds since 1990. They may be small in size, but they can do just about anything a bigger dog can do. The Mini Dachshund loves to play and can be very affectionate. They get along with just about everyone, even children. They make good house pets and can easily be housetrained. But, they also can be outside pets for those that prefer a dog to be outside.
The Mini Dachshund requires very little upkeep as far as grooming goes. Every so often they may need their toenails cut, ears cleaned, and a bath just like any other dog.
Our Mini Dachshunds are treated with plenty of TLC. Each one of our Dachshunds have their own kennel and get let out twice a day to play at their hearts content. The kennels themselves are on a concrete slab and have a roof overhead, keeping our dogs dry and cozy.
When you purchase one of our adoring puppies you receive a written health guarantee, register papers, shot record and our phone number for any questions you may have.

Dachshunds come in 3 coat types - smooth, longhair, and wire, and also in two sizes - miniature and standard. A miniature, according to CKC, is a dog weighing under 11 lbs. at 1 year of age. The variety of color and pattern choices make the breed even more interesting and attractive. This breed does not drool, slobber or smell. The longhair Dachshund only sheds periodically when growing a new coat. These dogs are very adaptable creatures fitting well into city, country, house, apartments, indoors or outside. They are excellent pets for children and the elderly and can be excellent guard dogs. With proper care a Dachshund can live to be 14-20 years, if not more.
