| Appearance: Head: Large but, well proportioned with body. Eyes: Dark in color and appearing sad. Ears: Long enough to reach well beyond the nose if pulled forward. Muzzle: Medium size and well proportioned to head. Nose: Black and self-colored according to coat. Bite: Scissor or level. Neck: Very powerful, with pronounced dewlap. Top-line: Level. Chest: Deep and full, with sternum showing clearly. Body: Long and smooth rib structure, with ribs being well-sprung. Legs: Forelegs are short and powerful, with the hind legs having a well-let-down stifle. When viewed from the back, the hind legs appear to be parallel. Feet: Very large with tough, heavy pads. Tail: Slightly curved. Movement: Good reach, with well balanced movement. Temperament: Energetic, free-spirited, with good movement. |
